New Plants at the Ranch

Well they made it! It has been a transplant week out here.
Planted the two camellias from My friend's grandmother's vineyard. They seem to like here.
I also was involved at school transplanting a 40 year old Macadamia tree. That was a big project.
Above is a photo of the new plants at RR (Rancho Relaxo) along with Jennie.

What a Party!

This photo was taken at the dinner party for my b'day. It was a memorable time. Never ate so much good food . The red berets are from the restaurantand make us honarary Basques. We are member of a group of "foodies" that get together informally to experience different cuisines. Today we are having a brunch here at RR. There will be twelve of us. On the menu:
Mimosas, a potato & sausage dish, fresh baked bagels w/lox & cream cheese, ham, a fruit platter, quiche and of course waffles. This is why I'm so slim.

Goings on

Well, what a surprise! All the well wishing from family and friends on my birthday. Funny I don't feel all that old. Just a few aches & pains. I count my blessings every day.

The plant trip was successful so far. We managed to dig up two very fine specimen Camellias and expect to plant them tomorrow. Hopefully I'll learn how to post pictures to share.

Tonight we are going to a Basque dinner (family style) with a group of our friends to celebrate.

Thanks again everyone for all the comments and such.

A horticulture adventure

Life is good! Heading out in the morning to Selma to retrieve some camellias from a friend's grape ranch. A little b & b should do the trick. These are some old specimens and should do well at the ranch.

OK This is new

Loooks like this is it
Well I should get on the blogwagon seeing as how my siblings are already there.

I can't put everything on in a single post, so I'll start slowly and see what happens from that.
